Make the findings
useful.

A report should help an owner understand the evidence, the open questions and the next decision. This example shows the format we are building toward.

Illustrative example. Not client data.

This page demonstrates the intended reporting format. It is not a completed CX engagement, an assessment of your company or a finding about a real organization. No risk score or verified remediation result is implied.

01 / Scope

Say what was reviewed.
Say what was not.

A useful readout starts with the actual agreed systems, evidence window, sample, participants and exclusions. The business owner should be able to understand that boundary before reading the findings.

For this example, assume a limited review of selected account configuration records, a backup description and collaboration responsibilities. No live systems were accessed and no technical testing was performed to create this illustration.

Illustrative exclusions

  • No penetration testing or intrusive scanning.
  • No production changes or live recovery tests.
  • No control certification or insurance determination.
  • No claim that the example covers an entire organization.

02 / Findings

Evidence, uncertainty
and a useful next action.

EXAMPLE 01Needs validation

Access coverage

Observed in the example
Configuration evidence supplied for selected accounts. Coverage for the full agreed account population has not yet been confirmed.
What remains unknown
Whether the observed settings apply to all accounts in scope, including approved exceptions.
Suggested next action
Ask the administrator to confirm the in-scope population and exceptions before deciding whether a change is needed.
Owner to involve
Business access owner and tenant administrator
EXAMPLE 02Evidence gap

Recovery evidence

Observed in the example
A backup coverage description is available. The restore-test record for the agreed workflow has not yet been supplied.
What remains unknown
What was restored, how the result was validated and which dependencies were excluded.
Suggested next action
Obtain the test scope, validation record and limitations. Decide separately whether an authorized test is needed.
Owner to involve
Business continuity owner and backup provider
EXAMPLE 03Owner decision

External collaboration

Observed in the example
The business uses external collaboration. Responsibility for reviewing project-end access has not been documented in the example evidence.
What remains unknown
Who approves ongoing access and how the project owner confirms that access is still required.
Suggested next action
Name the business decision maker and agree how the provider and project owner will review access.
Owner to involve
Project owner and collaboration administrator

03 / Owner decisions

End with ownership,
not an unexplained grade.

The owner readout connects findings to decisions: which questions need evidence, which changes need a proposal and which provider should own the next action. The actual assessment must explain its method and limitations.

A suggested action is not a change authorization. Production work requires an appropriate scope, approver, test and rollback plan.

After a real readout

  1. Confirm what is known and what remains open.
  2. Agree priorities with the relevant business and technical owners.
  3. Assign a named next action and follow-up point.
  4. Scope implementation or specialist work separately.
